Sowat 100 produsente en ander belanghebbendes het die SA Rooibosraad se jaarlikse navorsingsdag op 17 Mei 2011 op Clanwilliam bygewoon. Vanjaar se program het gefokus op navorsing wat direk vir produsente van waarde is.

The SA Rooibos Council supports several researchers at local universities and science councils to explore the quality and health properties of Rooibos. The scientific evidence that they produce is crucial to substantiate health claims of Rooibos, and provides a basis for the development of new value-added Rooibos products.

By die algemene jaarvergadering op 17 Mei 2011 is Willem Engelbrecht tot direksielid van die SA Rooibosraad verkies. Willem, ‘n boorling van Clanwilliam, sal produsente op die Raad verteenwoordig. Willem het ‘n BSc en MBA by die Universiteit van Stellenbosch verwerf en het in 1997 plaas toe gekom om self te begin boer.
